At the moment this is the only 9x18 I've got. I did want one of the little Polish guns, but I didn't have the funds at the time and they sold pretty quick.
I've shot some very impressive groups with my P64... in single action. A pinned barrel, tiny sights, and a good slide to frame fit go a long way towards making up for the short sight radius and barrel. They have a notoriously terrible double action, a problem that is merely band-aided by lighter mainsprings.
My only complaint about the CZ is that the fit between the beavertail and the safety could be a bit smoother. Mine's not too bad, but my dad's will bite me with stouter loads.
Do you have a P64?
ReplyDeleteThe CZ-82 and Makarov are better shooters, but once you've got a decent sized stash of 9x18 it makes sense to expand the collection.
At least to my gun-hoarding mind, it does.

ReplyDeleteI love mine. Groups with it are tighter than any of my other pistols, ammo is cheap, and it's dirt simple to clean and maintain.
ReplyDeleteP64 or CZ-82, DaddyBear?
