How does the bolt feel on that bad boy. I bet it's smoooooooth.
You should try to find a speed loader for it.
If you watch this video of a shooting competition in Norway: http://www.nrk.no/nett-tv/klipp/279486/ There's some very cool old footage from the 1960's of a guy named Finn Amundsen just rocking the Krag (starts at 11:08, but everything leading up to it is fascinating).
They are almost too smooth, it's hard to tell if you picked one up from the magazine unless you take a sec to look. And soft-shooting because big and nearly as long as a MosinNagantus with a slightly less boomy cartridge - but maybe the original 200-grain pill is more pushy.
I need a red-dot sight on mine just to find the front post! When I find the front post I can shave with it.

Neat stuff indeed.
ReplyDeleteThe bolt is wonderfully smooth, and I was surprised with just how soft shooting it is for a 30 cal rifle.
Although, the last round I fired was an interesting experience though... I'll mention it.
What happened to the "click to embiggen"? :-(
ReplyDeleteThe Blogger app for Android sucks at life is what happened... they're just pictures of my phone's camera, so not all that exciting.
