KtKC Day 18

A friend of mine wanted to go hiking at Devil's Lake State Park this morning, so we did.  That required waking up at 4am, but it was worth it.

The kilt certainly allowed for a great freedom and range of motion for scrambling up the sides of the cliffs.

KtKC Day 15

I warned her that it could be a dangerous angle, but Manda ain't skerd. So here's some Stewart Royal at the Taphouse.
Please donate at: www.kiltedtokickcancer.org/donate and select Team Guns & Coffee!

Nitro Baby

Celebrating the new furnace with some quality brews. Really just an excuse to get O'so Nitro Octoberfest.

How much do Americans love coffee?

A fairly decent amount.  I am honestly surprised that only 31% of Americans make coffee before doing anything else in the morning.

Furnace Fun

Cats are locked away in the guest "suite,"  and I'm stuck hanging out around the house while a bunch of guys do work.  It sure beats CO poisoning, but dang it makes for a boring day.

We called in a guy because the blower fan relay crapped out and the fan was running constantly.  He fixed that, but in his checks discovered the heat exchanger had a crack in it, which would do a great job of pumping exhaust fumes into the entire house.  Thankfully we were already planning to be out of town all weekend, and it's only chilly enough to just toss on a sweatshirt and be fine (50°...)

So... only replacing the furnace 5 years ahead of planned. Yay?

Moments later Clark made a three run shot to center right. Shaping up to be a much better game than last night.

Only in California...

Somebody found out that dimensional lumber is dimensional.
As part of the judgment Lowes was ordered to pay $1.47 million in civil penalties and costs of the investigation, as well as an additional $150,000 to fund further consumer protection-related activities.
Yup, tubbafors aren't actually 2"x4", and apparently that's false advertising.

MSBS Promo

Very cool.  I'm a quarter Polish too, and we worked a bit with some Polish RCP guys on my first deployment, and they were cool shit, so I was interested to see that TFB posted a neat promo video for the newest Radom carbine system.

KtKC Day 8

Ah, the joys of home ownership.  Also went to Menards to pick up a new storm door we ordered, somehow ended up loading it in the truck along with a new exterior door for the same doorway.  Go figure. (In our defense, it was a return that was a little over 60% off.  Dumb not to get it, since that was on the list for within the next year.)

Weekend!

I had my last overnight shift for a couple months, so we're kicking off the weekend right.

O'so Cherry Train.

KtKC Day 4

I realized that I slightly overshot day 4... it was rainy and hectic, and things happen.  Don't worry, I was still kilted, despite the thunderstorms, and manly activities occurred (like going to the fabric store... for manly things! More on that in a week or so...)

In the meantime, here's another photo from the wedding, not as professional, and not as far back.  Cue the jokes about who had the better dress.

Just three more overnight shifts in the foreseeable future.  Switching to 2nd shift for a couple months, which means lack of family time, but it does mean sleeping at night.

If you're looking for a great deal on a quality US made plate carrier, TAG is clearancing out their stock of Banshee carriers.
