Sig716
Sig also revealed their 7.62x51mm AR10 type rifle during SHOT.
I think it looks good, and has a lot of features I'd go with right out of the box. Maybe I'll be able to get one in a few years....
On a more serious note, they're making them in a 12.5" SBR, 14.5" carbine, 16" patrol carbine, and 20" marksman package (pictured above.)

More on Hyperstealth

More SHOT Link-age!
Kel-Tec KSG 14+1 12 Ga beast (Although Caleb found an oddity in the firing mechanism. Hopefully that's ironed out in the production version.)
For those who think the Taurus Judge isn't ridiculous enough, you can just get the Raging Judge, chambered in 28ga ("The comfort of .410 buckshot apparently outweighs the gun by several pounds." That is gold right there. No doubt the Raging Judge will allow you shoot even larger donut shaped patterns with slightly larger holes and mediocre velocity. Should sell by the ton.)

SHOT 2011 Day 2 (er, Day 1...)
Media Day doesn't count. Anyway, more linkage! (Wish I was there...)
Gun Nuts Media continues the fun with some Kriss SMG video fun.
Colt 1911 Anniversary Line
Kriss is now importing the Sphinx line of pistols (no word if Col. Hunter Gatherers approves)
Factory Ruger 22/45 threaded rail farm. (Ok, it's not that bad, probably about time.) Taurus couldn't stop at one shark, so they're jumping a whole tank full (I'll be watching for the 10ga. version next year...)
Ultimate cool: .308 rifle in a briefcase.
Noveske M249 in .300BLK.
Guns America sums up Media Day.
Kit Up has some more videos up from the last couple days- Surefire mags, Gerber helmet light, and a hydration system cooler deally.
Para 14-45 Tactical (I really like the idea of a railed double stack 1911. I'm sure that'll offend somebody though.)

SHOT 2011
In case you're trapped under a rock or something, today is Media Day for SHOT Show 2011. Wish I was there...
Anyway, keep an eye on things, I'll try to get some links to whatever eye candy I can scrounge up as the bloggers return to their hotels tonight when I've got some downtime at work. In fact, I'll just throw them all on this post, it'll be fun! (And easier to find I guess.)
Smith & Wesson Governor (.410/.45lc/.45acp revolver... face, meet palm...)
Crimson Trace 1911 grips (newer, slimmer & sleeker. Work with ambi-safeties.)
Colt Piston M4 w/ folding stock (now with more video!)
H&K416C (I will say I like that stock better than the Colt) (video as well)
Colt Revolvers, new Trijicon Night Sights, Glocks, Springfields, the Colt CM/SP109, and new Surefire .22 cans; from Gear Scout (I'm liking those sights...)
HK45, H&K MR556, Random Photos, and some other stuff over at The Firearm Blog.

Whoa...
You can always tell when it's getting close to SHOT Show season. Apparently the Kel-Tec KSG is the thing to talk about today, at least judging by the spike in Google hits on the blog here. Even more so than the new Ruger (I guess I'm not the only one feeling a little 'meh' towards it.)

Lancer L5 AWM
Lancer Systems have announced a new polymer AR15 magazine to be officially announced at SHOT (well, pricing and availability to be announced then.)
The "Advanced Warfighter Magazine" looks to be an evolution of their current translucent polymer mags, with a more robust feed lip assembly and improved floorplate for easier disassembly.
The follower is supposed to be an anti-tilt design, which if true would alleviate my biggest complaint about their current generation of translucent mags. (I can get pictures of what I mean later tomorrow if people are currious. I've got two Lancers around somewhere.)
The body is also textured for better handling.

Surefire going for the hi-cap mag market
With quad-stack box-ness in 60 and 100 round flavors.
I will say the 100 rounder look absurd,but apparently their pushing more towards the 3-gun crowd rather than the new Marine LMG (I don't see that 100 rounder going prone anytime soon without it's on little trench...) They're of metal construction, it'll be interesting to see how the inside is setup. According to SSD they should be "officially" announced at SHOT, and available next March.
Quads are nothing new, as Tam reminds us, but it's still interesting to see something available. No word on Magpul's quad though, should be interesting to see what the price comparison will be between molded polymer and welded aluminum though.
More- Gear Scout spoke with the guy's at Surefire, seems they're actually pushing them more towards your standard infantrymen, calling them "anti-ambush mags." Check out their article for more info and some more pictures.
