And all it did was make me feel like I suck. Seriously, it's possibly the most humbling shooting exercise I've done yet. If you haven't tried it, print some off and do it.
Maybe I can blame the TulAmmo or the mediocre factory trigger on the Smith. I was pushing a lot of shots left (me, not the gun, if I took my time and concentrated they were spot on to point of aim) so this may have been the last push for me to place an order with Apex. Then again, maybe I just need to shoot more... A lot more...

"Three yards?" I thought, "How hard could it be?"
My best score thus far is 46.
Nothing else has shown me just how much one handed shooting sucks yet. Although I was doing better with my "weak" hand, no doubt because I was more conscious about slowing down and taking my time.
I need to get something in .22lr other than the little Walther I think. This drill's going to be the death of my meager ammo supplies otherwise.
This looks like something I could be scarilly suckish at. Have to try it soon... maybe today in the back yard.
Some day I'll live somewhere I can just shoot in the backyard... some day...
It's worse in class, because even though Todd's saying "Now, take all the time you need!" nobody wants to make the last *BANG!*...
Also, of course, it's hard not to rush n the transitions from dot-to-dot or after the reloads...
(WV: "bankywak", which is the best word verification ever. "The bankywak scene in Heat was teh awesome!"
I just need somebody with a loudspeaker blaring at me to "SLOW DOWN!!"
Great drill for teaching that fast hits come from smooth precision, and of course smoothness comes from slowing yourself down.
It's a wonderful drill: It's wonderful for showing me how much I suck.
Heh, I made nearly the same comment to Todd's Veteran's Day post.
32 and 30 from 3 and 5 yards, respectively, and that with my carry gun. Talk about humbling.
I put up a third target at 10 yards and placed the lion's share of two mags worth through the 6 dot to end the day. That made me feel a little better.
Great exercise!
