I just don't get it. For years everybody has cried out for a single-stack 9mm and a carbine from them, yet another SHOT has come, and they give their fanboys a .45 with a skinny slide. Meh...?

That's one big ass grip safety...if that that, the carbine has an odd shaped tumor.
Looks to be a grip safety. Probably due to some import issue or something. If the price point was right I may be interested, my Hi-point carbine is fun (especially after the work I've done to it), but 10 round mags suck.
Still, makes you wonder about Glock and their market research. They claim the 30S is what "lots of police officers were asking for"... I guess they'll just ignore the civilian market?
Meh. One of the draws of a Pistol Caliber Carbine is that you can put the magazine in the grip, since pistol magazines are designed to do that. This makes for a much shorter weapon. My Beretta U22 w/carbine kit is only a little longer than my AUG. (pic)
