Ruger LC9...

Anybody have any experience with them yet? And more importantly, know how hard it is to deactivate the stupid magazine safety?

I have one on special order with one of the local merchants of death. Should be in my hands in another two weeks or so.

Hopefully, it's like the M&P magazine safety (easy to deactivate/remove.)

I was concerned about the manual thumb safety, but it's REALLY hard to enable. Much easier to disable for some reason.

The trigger pull is like a Kahr, long and slick. It has a small internal hammer, but there must be some pre-cock since you don't get a second strike.

I'd really just like to have a single stack M&P, but as far as the dimensions go the LC9 is probably the best one at the right price. It will be replacing my rebuilt P64 for when I can't print.

From what I've found on the ol' internets, they did the safety that way on purpose so if you chose to ignore it, it's less likely to accidentally come on.

Yeah, if there was a single-stack M&P, there would be no question as far as skinny nines went for me. (S&W, are you listening?)

Upon further investigation, I found a photo with the LCI in the loaded possition. I kind of wanted to throw up.

So, in case anybody from Ruger sees this, you lost a potential sale due to your lawyered up stupidity. I do not want a loaded chamber indicator, let alone one I can read from the next county over.
